#19 Orfeas Boteas @ Krotos

Orfeas is the CEO and Founder of Edinburgh software scale-up, Krotos. Starting back in 2013, their software has been used in making some of the biggest TV & movie hits; The Avengers, Game of Thrones and Stranger Things, to name a few.

Krotos' software revolutionises the sound design workflow – encouraging sound designers to perform and manipulate sound, saving hours of editing time. The Krotos workflow lets their users focus on the best parts of sound design – being creative, increasing productivity and having fun in the process.

It was interesting to hear that Orfeas had never really planned to found his own company but experiences and opportunities led him to founding a very successfully company.

As a massive Game of Thrones fan, it was fascinating to hear how Krotos was used in creating sound for the series. I really enjoyed speaking with Orfeas and it sounds like an exciting few years ahead for them in a growing market. Enjoy the episode!
